The AltiMAX Arctic 12 is a studdable winter/snow tire from General. It is designed for various types of vehicles and offers confident performance and traditional wintertime traction on dry, wet, and snowy roads. These tires have a winter-focused compound and a highly directional tread pattern. The central rib ensures solid on-center feel and steering response, while the optimized tread contour helps with pressure distribution and wear compared to the previous version. The grooves and lateral notches effectively evacuate water and slush to resist hydroplaning, and the tread blocks and sipes provide extra biting edges for traction in slippery conditions. The tire's internal construction includes a polyester casing, steel belts, and a polyamide cap ply for handling and durability. The AltiMAX Arctic 12 meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and bears the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. Please note that these tires should be installed in sets of four only and can accommodate optional winter studs.
