Pirelli P ZERO ROSSO

Italians have always associated the color red with passion. Pirelli has created the P Zero Rosso tires, which embody this passion for driving. These tires are classified as Max Performance Summer tires, offering an excellent combination of high performance, high speed capabilities, and a comfortable driving experience. Pirelli has employed specific design techniques, utilized high-quality materials, and implemented advanced manufacturing methods to produce their most comfortable Max Performance tires. It is important to note that Pirelli's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking in temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius). Thus, the P Zero Rosso tires, like all summer tires, are not meant for use in near-freezing temperatures, snow, or on icy surfaces. The P Zero Rosso system consists of two different tread designs: asymmetric and directional. Each design is tailored to meet the unique performance requirements of various vehicle types and uses. The P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico is the most commonly used tread pattern as it is designed for both front and rear axle positions of front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive cars. It is also suitable for use on all cars driven on the track. On the other hand, the P Zero Rosso Direzionale provides enhanced resistance against hydroplaning and is primarily employed on the lighter load carrying front axle positions of mid-engine and rear-engine rear-wheel drive cars. These cars are typically paired with the P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico tires on the rear axle positions. Both tread patterns of the P Zero Rosso tires showcase elegant designs. The Asimmetrico tread pattern features a semi-slick center rib that improves driving precision during acceleration and braking. It also includes sturdy outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks that are connected by circumferential "multi-ring" ribs, enhancing dry grip. The inner intermediate rib and inside shoulder are separated by wide grooves, allowing for efficient water evacuation and reducing the risk of hydroplaning. The inclusion of curved grooves, in addition to circumferential grooves, helps minimize noise. To ensure optimal performance, P Zero Rosso tires use a silica-enhanced tread compound. This compound offers improved grip in wet conditions and lower rolling resistance in dry conditions. The tread is supported by PenTec cord, a material developed by Allied Signal for space exploration. The use of PenTec cord reinforces lightweight steel belts, providing more stability at high speeds while also reducing tire weight. Additionally, it minimizes temporary flat spotting that may occur when the vehicle is parked overnight. While most Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires feature a red "P Zero" logo, some selected sizes showcase the "Rosso" logo instead. This logo is embossed on the black sidewall, adding a stylish touch to the overall design.
