P Zero tires are high-performance tires developed for powerful sports cars, sports coupes, and luxury sedans. They have been derived from Pirelli's extensive motorsport experience and are designed to provide exceptional performance. Originally used as Original Equipment on several prestigious vehicles, including Aston Martin, Audi R8, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Mercedes-Benz AMG, the P Zero lineup also offers replacement tire options. These tires feature a special tread compound made of silica and carbon black. This compound ensures good performance even when the tires are cold, providing consistent performance throughout their lifespan. The tread design, known as the S-treme asymmetric design, includes grooves that minimize deformation and enable responsive handling, resistance to hydroplaning, and traction on wet roads. It also promotes even wear, reduces road noise, and offers a comfortable driving experience. To enhance stability and high-speed capabilities, the tire's internal structure consists of twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cords. Additionally, a combination of nylon and aramid cords helps control tire profile deformation, providing better handling. Some sizes of the P Zero tires are available with the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, a feature that reduces cabin noise by adding a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire. Please note that the warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking when used in temperatures below 45°F (7°C). Therefore, the P Zero tires, like all summer tires, are not suitable for near-freezing temperatures, snowy conditions, or icy roads.
